Mystery: Hudson Valley Man Crashes Car, Fatally Shot in New York
Police are trying to figure out what happened moments before a Hudson Valley man who was found with a gunshot wound crashed his car.
On Thursday, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department was dispatched to a car crash on Livingston Street in the area of Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that the driver of the vehicle Jeffery Johnson II suffered a gunshot wound.

It's unclear how Johnson was shot or what caused the crash. Police did not detail the cause of the car crash.
"This is still an ongoing investigation and the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department is requesting that anyone with information regarding this incident call the police department at 845-451-4000," the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department stated.
