Three people were treated for minor injuries after a single car crash on Willow Lane in New Windsor late Sunday night.

Sgt. William H. Ruger Jr. of the New Windsor Police Department reported emergency crews from the New Windsor Police Department, New Windsor Ambulance and Vails Gate Fire Company responded to a roll over crash just before midnight on Dec. 13.

Three people were found in the car, which had gone off the road near Spring Rock Road. An investigation of the crash showed the vehicle had struck a utility pole and a fire hydrant. It then hit a head wall on a bridge before rolling into a creek. The three were extracted from the vehicle and taken to St. Luke's Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle, Heemin An, 31, of Central Valley, was charged with a speeding violation as well as driving while intoxicated. She was released on her own recognizance and was receiving further treatment at the hospital.

Identities of the passengers were not released. Sgt. Ruger said one was hospitalized, while one was expected to be released.

The roadway is expected to be closed through the morning between Harth Drive and Rock Spring Road while crews from Central Hudson Gas and Electric work to replace the downed utility pole.
