A scary sequel that was filmed throughout the Hudson Valley this past winter has just released its official trailer.
Smile Hudson Valley, You're on The Big Screen
In January 2024 production began across the Hudson Valley on a horror movie project. The sequel to the creepy, horror movie Smile was filmed in Newburgh, Poughkeepsie, Wappingers Falls, Ellenville, and Albany. Plus other locations in New York City and New Jersey.

Smile 2 began production and shut down major Hudson Valley roads like U.S. Highway 209 between Schrade Ct. and Washington Ave in Ellenville, and Edwards Street in Newburgh.
It's been a few months, but now we can see the Hudson Valley on the big screen.

Many Hudson Valley Film Crew Hired for Smile 2 Production
A perk of movies filming around the mid-Hudson region (besides all the fun celebrity sightings) is all the opportunities it brings for local production crews.
After the Smile 2 trailer was released, the Hudson Valley Film Commission took to social media to write "Best part of SMILE 2 winter production was the number of trained professional crew members that were hired LOCALLY, including MANY department heads."
They add:
