Town of Wappinger to Resurrect the Dahlia Flower Festival
Welcome Hudson Valley! This is Conor Walsh, host of In Touch, Townsquare Media of the Hudson Valley’s Award-Winning Public Affairs and Issues program.
This week’s episode of In Touch marks the return of Joey Cavaccini, Wappinger Town Supervisor and Wappinger Town Historian. Together, Joey and I dive more into the expansive history of Dutchess County, and how that history still impacts us today. Joey goes into the recent expansion of Reese Park, upcoming events for First Saturday Wappingers, and resurrection of the spirit of the Dahlia Festival. Fun fact, Wappinger used to be the Dahlia Capital of the World. You can hear the whole history about it in this episode.
We invite you to join us and listen to a previously recorded conversation between Joey Cavaccini and myself here on In Touch.
