We are about halfway through the 2024 golf season here in the Hudson Valley and boy has it been hot.

Back when we were first talking about golf in March we were experiencing a mild late Winter or early Spring whichever way you want to look at it. The combination meant we could get out on the course sooner. Who knew that the extra-warm Winter would lead to such a hot sticky summer?

I realize some golfers enjoy this weather but this girl is looking forward to Fall golf when it is hopefully a whole lot cooler. Truth is no matter what the weather the chance to get out and play golf is a gift so we will sweat through it while looking forward to cooler days.

Is it Too Hot for Golf?

Since we first teed off back in March of this year I had no idea it would be this consistency hot. It seems things are just plugging along but the heat some weeks has been oppressive. The courses haven't been too crowded because of it.

Most golfers will never admit to it being too hot, I don't think, but if you do plan to keep heading out for golf in this weather make sure to pack plenty of water.
