A Fire Was Successfully Extinguished in Gardiner New York

Earlier this week Gardiner Fire and Rescue was called out to a brush fire near a home. As with most Hudson Valley Fire Departments while the crew got packed up to head out the Chief officers headed directly to the site of the flames.

Our recent weather conditions that seem to persist have made firefighting even more urgent and critical. Hudson Valley fire departments are working tirelessly to keep any fires from spreading at this time.

Home Saved From Brush Fire By Gardiner Fire and Rescue

Back on Tuesday night, the Gardiner Fire Department was able to keep a fire contained that was near a home. The first firefighters on the scene confirmed that a large fire roughly 30 feet by 60 feet was burning in the yard. According to a social media release they called in a Brush Truck. an Engine and an Ambulance.

It took about 45 minutes to put the fire out and ensure hot spots were also extinguished. Fortunately, they were there with the right equipment so that this fire didn't spread to the structure or other parts of the area.

Weather conditions are the driest they have been in years. The lack of rainfall is setting records and causing concern that more fires with happen. It is important that you adhere to all burn bans that are now in effect.

Burn Ban in Effect For the Hudson Valley

The smallest of fires can get out of control quickly. Even the rain expected this weekend will not be enough to get the Hudson Valley back to a safe level. Fire warnings and if Winds continue Red Flag warnings will be up for most of the weekend and into next week.
