Cornwall Superintendent Returns with Another Throwback Snow Day Performance

A Hudson Valley Superintendent was back at it with another snow day announcement performance.

No longer are the days of waiting for your school closure to be announced on the radio or scroll across the TV.  While many schools, just send out your average "We're closed on this date" text Cornwall Central School Districts Superintendent Terry J. Dade has gone above and beyond to give those announcements a little flavor.

Cornwall Superintendent is a Social Media Superstar

For the last few years, Cornwall students along with others in surrounding Hudson Valley communities have waited until the night of a big storm for Superintendent Dade's snow day performance.

Yes, Dade performs Cornwall's school closings in the form of a throwback song that he posts to Twitter and other social media platforms. In the past, Dade has covered NSYNC, Vanilla Ice, and Guns N Roses. So when severe winter weather was forecasted earlier this week, Dade let the creative juices flow and gave his snow day announcement a hip-hop spin, take a look:

Sound familiar? It's Montelle Jordan's "This is How We Do It" remixed into Superintendent Dade's version of  "This is How We Snow Day." Everyone's favorite meteorologist Ben Noll responded to the video tweeting "limitless creativity.... respect."

In all seriousness, the winter weather across the Hudson Valley this week has been no joke. Icy conditions caused an 18-car pile-up on 9W near Storm King Mountain and West Point earlier in the week. Photos (which you can find below) shared with us by Jake Shea, who was near the scene, showing just how dangerous it was.
