Popular with fans of the unexplained, Ghost Hunters features Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves, Dave Tango, and Shari DeBenedetti as they investigate unexplained hauntings with state-of-the-art technology paired with their expertise. Their travels have taken them to the Claire House in Ogdensburg on the Canadian border.

At one time, the Claire House was a Catholic rectory and a convent of French Canadian nuns but today it is an outdoor adventure bed and breakfast, and those who have visited swear that the place is haunted.

Hal and Rachel Kench of Long Island purchased 709 Franklin Street during the pandemic during one of their trips back home to Hal's hometown when Rachel told him that if they could purchase the house, she would be happy to retire there.

The couple moved quickly and within months they were the new owners of the Claire House and that's when strange things started to happen. The couple first heard rumblings of Claire House being haunted on social media, but during their first night in the house, they noticed flickering lights, bats flying around inside, and other odd noises.

And then, the ghosts showed up.

Rachel was the first to see the ghosts and when she told Hal, he thought she was crazy - until he saw them himself and then, it was game on.

Hal reached out to "Ghost Hunters" and told them about the weird things happening at Claire House to see if they wanted to investigate and they did. Not only did the crew want to investigate but they wanted to feature Claire House in their season finale episode on the Travel Channel.

Curious about what was unearthed at the Claire House? You can catch the episode called "Diocese of the Dead" on Thursday, May 25 at 9:00 p.m. on the Travel Channel or by streaming the episode on Discovery+.
