Hudson Valley Man Shot For Second Time In Months
A Hudson Valley man is recovering from gunshot wounds for the second time in about two months.
On Saturday at 12:30 a.m., members from the Monticello Police Department were requested by Sullivan County 911 to assist Mobile Medic Ambulance with a report of a male with a leg injury at 36 York Avenue in the Village of Monticello.
Upon the arrival of officers and EMS it was determined that the man, a 25-year-old from Monticello, had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, police say.

The victim refused to cooperate with investigating officers and was transported to Garnet Health Medical Center in Orange County for medical treatment, officials say. Anyone with information about Saturday's shooting is asked to call the Monticello Police Department in confidence at 845-794-4422.
According to the Monticello Police Department, the same unnamed man was shot in the right shoulder on June 10. Both times he refused to cooperate with officers, police say.
"The Monticello Police Department remains committed to rooting out violent actors in our community even where those directly victimized refuse to cooperate with law enforcement investigations. We recognize these acts victimize our entire community," Monticello Police Department stated.
