From 2015 to 2017, Cornerback Sam Beal had an excellent college career with breakout games during his time at Western Michigan. That includes a game against USC his junior year where Beal intercepted a pass from Sam Darnold.

In 2018 the New York football Giants drafted Western Michigan Cornerback, Sam Beal.

Sadly, his career didn't pan out as he intended. Beal was sidelined during his first season after a shoulder injury at Giants training camp. Then in 2019 he suffered a hamstring injury and was put on the injured reserves.

Beal opted out of 2020 season due to COVID-19 and then in December 2021 he was released from the New York Giants.

Former New York Giant Corner Back Goes Missing

Beal's family has recently shared the former Giant has been missing since July 2025.

Essence Zhane, Sam Beal's sister shared on social media that her brother has been missing for 7 months He was last seen in Virginia Beach. Zhane states:

We’ve done everything we could on our end to piece things together and at this point we’re in desperate need of support on all ends. I’m not here to answer a bunch of why’s and how’s I just need this to land in the right direction to gain some form of answers or closure.

According to reports, Sam dropped his girlfriend off at a family members house on July 12th, 2025 and borrowed her car to go to work. Beal did not show up for work that day.

The vehicle was later on July 13th, 2025 in Virginia Beach with Sam's shoes and socks on the front passenger seat. There was also sand on the floor.

Sam Beal's Legal Trouble After Leaving the NFL

As mentioned earlier Beal opted out of the 2020 NFL season with the Giants due to COVID-19.

In June of 2020 the cornerback was arrested in Ohio according to ESPN, after he was pulled over and a concealed weapon and marijuana were found in the vehicle.

After the arrest he was put on 2 years probation. In June, 2021 Beal pleaded guilty to the 2020 firearm charges.
