Domestic Incident Leads to Felony DWI Arrest
Town of Poughkeepsie Police arrested 25-year-old Bryana L. Paquette on charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child, a felony under Leandra's Law along with misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to Captain Kevin Faber, police we summoned to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital on December 9 for a male with a laceration to his chest. Investigating officers say that neither the male subject or his girlfriend Paquette of the Town of Poughkeepsie could provide accurate details about his injury.
While conducting the investigation police allege that Paquette had operated a vehicle under the influence of alcohol with a child in the car when she drove to the hospital.
Paquette was arraigned before Town of Poughkeepsie Judge Paul Sullivan and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
