Spotted: Yellow Film Signs Signal the Return of Best Medicine to Dutchess County

Yellow signs are popping up in a specific part of Dutchess County and that can only mean one thing, Hollywood on The Hudson strikes again!

Fox's Best Medicine Returns to Film in The Hudson Valley

The lights of Hollywood are bright on the Hudson River this week.

When yellow signs show up,  we know a movie or television show is filming in the area. Those yellow signs appeared overnight in the area around New Hamburg train station the weekend of June 27th, 2026.

If you've been paying attention then you'd know Fox's Best Medicine is a staple in that area as exterior parts of the show are filmed in and around the New Hamburg Yacht Club.

The interior shots are filmed at Choice Film Studio in Montgomery.

Best Medicine, starring Josh Charles, was picked up for second season back in early 2026 and we heard whispers that filming would begin at the end of June beginning of July.

Best Medicine Breaks Streaming Records at Fox

We have to admit, we feel a sense of pride when a Hudson Valley filmed production does well.

Best Medicine broke some serious streaming records when it premiered back in 2025. Deadline reports that Best Medicine was Fox's "most streamed debut in nearly 3 years" with 10.8 million viewers.

According to Deadline "That marks a promising commencement for the new comedy drama, which Fox also says has generated about 1 billion minutes viewed across its first two episodes."

No word yet on when season 2 will air, but we're thinking at some point in September 2026. We'll keep you updated once more information is available.

What Shows and Movies Are Filming Across the Hudson Valley and New York State?

Never a dull moment in the Hudson Valley!

While Best Medicine is filming in and around Dutchess County, other shows like The Gilded Age on HBO Max is currently in production around the Capital Region.

Netflix's adaptation of the book God of The Woods is filming across the area as well. Casting calls have been shared for filming locations everywhere from Orange County to Albany.
