The book was a hit with the book club crowd and fans were thrilled when they heard the book was being flipped into a movie.
The Housemaid movie stars Sydney Sweeney, Brandon Sklenar and Amanda Seyfried.
According to Collider, The Housemaid made $192 million worldwide "against a $35 million budget" which they explain exceeds expectations and is marked as a hit for the cast.

Vogue Shoots at Accord, New York Luxury Resort
The January 2026 digital issue of Vogue was just released with Amanda Seyfried as their cover girl.
Seyfried has openly spoke about her farm and home in Ulster County. Looks like Vogue made the trip up to the region for the interview and photoshoot. On Instagram Vogue writes:
Seyfried, 40, had already eked out a quiet, stable life for herself and her young family in upstate New York, where they live far from Hollywood’s klieg lights.
At the bottom of the Instagram caption Vogue explains the photoshoot was "Shot on location at @inness_ny."
Inness is a luxury hotel and resort that offers "dining, member's club, golf, and abundant leisure activities." They also host gorgeous weddings and local events.

Amanda Seyfried's Life in the Hudson Valley
The actress has been open about her home and farm in Upstate, New York.
In 2017, Seyfried invited Vogue to her house for a home tour where they write "Natural and authentic in character, Amanda Seyfried's newly renovated Catskills house is a tribute to its roots and a nod to its environment."
Seyfried said in an interview with Forbes "I moved upstate long before I had a family," adding "Staying here was the best decision for privacy, peace and nature. It offers a more balanced life than the city does.”
For her next project Seyfried will star as Ann Lee in the Testament of Ann Lee. The film tells the true story of Ann Lee, the founder of the Shaker movement in the 18th-century.
The Shaker movement was a "radical religious sect emphasizing gender equality, communal living and celibacy" according to Wikipedia. Lee's followers saw her as the female Christ.
The Testament of Ann Lee is in theaters now.
