AAA Hudson Valley Helps Elderly New York Man Stranded In Virginia
AAA Hudson Valley deserves a round of applause! One official from the region went above and beyond to help out an elderly New York man who was stuck in snowy Virginia.
James Murphy, 93, is a snowbird. He lives part of the year in the Albany area and the winter in Florida.
“We ran into a travel nightmare last week, that’s kinda the understatement of the year,” Murphy’s daughter Kathleen told News10 Albany.
James Murphy was traveling alone from Albany to Florida when snow bamboozled his drive.

Stott then helped Murphy get to the hotel. She gave him the easiest directions possible, with the least amount of turns.
Murphy safely got to his hotel and headed to Florida the next morning with more help from Stott.
