Roughly 30,000 pounds of beef have been recalled across the country.

According to Fox News, a national beef company has recalled about 30,000 pounds of meat that is shipped across the U.S. The meat was recalled for potentially being contaminated with 'extraneous materials'.

Washington Beef LLC is the company that issued the recall, according to Fox News. The recall affects ground beef chubs produced on December 27, 2018, that have a 'use or freeze by date' of January 20, 2019. To be specific, the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) says 30,260 pounds of ground beef are affected.

The recall was issued after a consumer complaint on February 28, 2019. The material that contaminated the product was not specified. Fox News reports that anyone with a concern should contact a health provider, even though no adverse reactions have been reported.
