3 Inches of Snow Predicted for Hudson Valley This Week
Don't shoot the messenger.
You may want to make sure your shovel is handy because the Hudson Valley is expected to see some snow accumulations this week.
Mother Nature hasn't even waited for us to eat all of our Halloween candy before deciding to kick into winter. While many of us are just wrapping our heads around the idea that it's November, winter has decided to make itself known with three inches of snow.
Many Hudson Valley residents awoke on Monday to find frost on their windshields. But later this week things are going to get even worse. According to the Weather Channel, the Mid Hudson Region will see temperatures dip to 28 degrees on Thursday night. Clouds will bring rain and then snow, with accumulations from one to three inches.
Friday morning's commute could be a potential nightmare, with snow-covered roadways and perhaps even snow delays in some areas. But, of course, we have a few days until Thursday so things could still change, dumping more or less snow throughout the region.
Coincidentally, the Rockefeller Christmas Tree is scheduled to be cut down from a yard in Orange County on Thursday, signaling the beginning of the holiday season. So maybe the idea of snow isn't completely crazy after all.
