Two teenagers and another man were arrested following an armed robbery in Newburgh.

City of Newburgh police were flagged down by a man who said he was robbed at gunpoint by two men on Varrick Homes. The victim was able to give police a description of both individuals and the vehicle they fled in.

A short time later, a car matching the description given by the victim was spotted on Benkard Avenue. Police from the City of Newburgh, Town of Newburgh, and New Windsor performed a traffic stop of the vehicle.

Police say the front-seat passenger, 19-year-old Michael Robinson, of Newburgh fled on foot. He was chased by a City of Newburgh officer and K-9 Bane and taken into custody a short time later.

The driver, 22-year-old Jalian Talley of West Point, was taken into custody at the traffic stop. Police allegedly found a handgun in the car.

Robinson and Talley were both charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree robbery, and criminal possession of a weapon, felonies.

Alexa Proper, 19, of Kingston who was also in the car at the time of the traffic stop was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a felony. Police believe she was not part of the robbery.

The victim was not injured. His name is being withheld.
