Your Costumed Pet Could Be Worth $500
Hudson Valley pet owners are ready to dress up their four-legged friends in hopes of earning big cash.
The fifth annual Boris & Robyn Show Halloween Pet Costume Contest will take place on Sunday, October 27 with free trick or treating and a chance to earn a $500 grand prize.
Pets and their owners will assemble at Petco on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie for an afternoon of four-legged trick-or-treating and other family-friendly activities. Meta Marcy will be giving pet psychic readings and there will be other free games and activities for the whole family.
Of course, the main event is the annual costume contest. Pets of all shapes and sizes will strut their stuff on the Halloween runway in front of our panel of judges to see who gets to take home this year's grand prize of $500 in cash. Prizes will also be given out for runner-ups. But of course, all of the animals are winners and will have their photos posted at WPDH.com so they can show off their costumes to the entire Hudson Valley.
Those interested in participating can just show up at Petco on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie on Sunday, October 27 between Noon and 2pm. The event will be held rain or shine. A suggested donation of $5 will be collected for each entry to benefit Pets Alive.
