Police have arrested a woman that allegedly visited an inmate from a Dutchess County prison with drugs and cash on her.
New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested 38-year-old Patrica M. Harney, of Glenham. State Police say Harney entered the Green Haven Correctional faculty, in the Town of Beekman, to visit an inmate with controlled substances and cash on her.
Police charged Harney with 1st-degree promoting prison contraband, a class D felony.
State Troopers were contacted to assist the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations with the arrest. Troopers placed Harney into custody and transported her to Troop K Headquarters for processing.
Harney was arraigned in the Town of LaGrange Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. Harney is due to appear in the Town of Beekman Court at a later date.
