Police in Rockland County arrested an alleged drug dealer carrying a large amount of heroin.

Tuesday evening, State Police from Clarkstown stopped a vehicle on I-87 for multiple traffic violations. During the investigation, the driver, Brian R. Estrella, 25, of West Haverstraw was allegedly found to be in possession of over 1.5 ounces of heroin.

Estrella was taken into custody and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, felonies, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

Estrella was arraigned before the Town of Ramapo Court and remanded to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bail or bond. He is schedule to appear in the Town of Clarkstown Court on July 5.
