New York Child Hurt After Shooting Outside Hudson Valley Home
A Hudson Valley child was injured after many bullets were shot towards his home.
On Monday around 6:30 p.m., City of Poughkeepsie Police received a call reporting shots fired in the area of North White Street.
Multiple units were dispatched to the area.
Upon arrival, officers found a number of bullet strikes to the wall and window of a home.
Officers made contact with the residents of the apartment and located an 8-year-old boy who was injured after bullets entered the home.
The child suffered a cut to his chest after being struck with debris from gunfire, police say.
Officers contacted Mobile Life EMS and the victim was transported to Mid Hudson Regional Hospital for treatment.
