City of Poughkeepsie police responded to the M & T Bank for a reported bank robbery at the Jefferson Plaza branch at approximately 3:32 pm.

According to a statement by Detective Lieutenant Matt Clark, the suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller put the money in an envelope and the suspect took it along with the demand note.

The suspect fled out of the bank with an unknown amount of money and headed towards Jefferson Street. 

Police describe the suspect as a six-foot tall male with a medium build. He was wearing a gray hoodie with a yellow circular logo on the front with "LIVESTRONG" in white lettering below the logo. The suspect was wearing a glove on his left hand, a scarf covering his lower face and a baseball hat.
