Local authorities are seeking help in locating a 19-year-old Patterson girl missing since Christmas Eve.

According to update to the New York State Police Facebook page, Patricia Figueroa was last seen at the Patterson Train Station in Putnam County just before the holiday.

Patricia stands at 5'3, has brown eyes, reddish/brown hair and weighs around 150 pounds. She is mentally disabled and suffers from anxiety.

The initial post by the state police has since gone viral with more than 1,100 shares. The comment section is filled with people hoping for a safe return.

Police suggest anyone with information should contact Brewster Police at (845) 677-7300 or dial 911. Authorities request no sharing of tips on social media as it could impede the investigation.

According to Todd Matthews from the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, more than 90,000 people are missing in the United States at any given time. That includes both active and non-active cases.
