An Orange County woman and her 17-year-old son are accused of selling drugs in Orange County.

In late September, the Orange County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a home on Airport Road in the Town of Wallkill. A loaded handgun was allegedly found at the home. Angela Peoples, 40, of Wallkill was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Her 17-year-old son was charged with criminal possession of a firearm.

In October, complaints were filed in Town of Wallkill Justice Court alleging that Peoples sold oxycodone pills to undercover officers in May and August. Angela’s son is accused of selling oxycodone pills to undercover cops on two separate occasions in August.

The drug sales took place outside of Peoples’ home in Wallkill, police say.

Both were charged with multiple counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance. The mother was also charged with four-counts of criminal possession of a weapon, for allegedly possessing two shotguns and two rifles.

Peoples faces up to twelve years in state prison if convicted. Her son faces nine years in jail.

The Orange County Drug Force was assisted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Special Operations Group and the Town of Wallkill Police Department.
