Police Charge Teen With Aggravated DWI

Saugerties Police have charged 18-year-old Jose A. Flores with Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Use a Designated Lane, and Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol for a Christmas morning crash on Kings Highway in Saugerties.

Police allege that Flores had a blood alcohol content of .21% when he failed to negotiate a turn, ran off the road, and landed the car in a ditch at about 4:46 AM Monday morning.  Flores was uninjured in the wreck.  He was processed at the Saugerties Police Department and released to a family member.  He is due to appear in Saugerties Court in January to answer the charges.
