Police: 3 From Sullivan County Hit Victim With Chair and Robbed Him
Police say 3 men from Sullivan County hit their victim with a chair and then stole his cellphone and wallet.
State Police from Livingston arrested 22-year-old Derek P. Peeters, Erik M. Shook, 26, and 27-year-old David Zukowski, all from Philmont. All 3 were charged with 2nd-degree robbery, a class C felony.
On Sunday, troopers were dispatched by Columbia County 911 to the Claverack Town Park for a reported robbery. The victim said that while he was at the park, several people who knew attacked him with a folding chair.
An investigation by police allegedly revealed that that Peeters, Shook and Zukowski forcibly stole the victim’s cell phone and wallet.
All three were arraigned in the Town of Claverack Justice Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. They are due to appear in the Town of Claverack Court at a later date and time.
