An Orange County man was indicted by an Ulster County Jury for a hit-and-run crash involving a SUNY New Paltz female student.

According to the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, on April 25, 2015 around 3:30 a.m., 29-year-old David Arcuri, of Walden hit a female SUNY New Paltz student with vehicle on State Route 208 in New Paltz.

Arcuri allegedly left the scene of the accident and attempted to cover up the incident by taking his car to a repair shop and telling his insurance company he hit a deer.

On Thursday and Ulster County grand jury indicted Arcuri for 2nd-degree assault, leaving the scene of an accident without reporting serious physical injury, and 4th-degree insurance fraud.
