Orange County Couple Arrested on Heroin Sale Charges
A couple from Orange County is accused of selling heroin in the Hudson Valley.
On Thursday, members of the Port Jervis City Police Department, the Orange County Sheriff's Special Operations Group and Town of Deerpark Police Department executed a Port Jervis City Court ordered search warrant at an apartment on Elizabeth Street.
Heroin was found inside the home, police say.
Elizabeth Valles, 41, of Port Jervis was charged her with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal sale of a controlled substance, felonies and a misdemeanor for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Kareem Valles, 41, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a felony, and a misdemeanor for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Both were arraigned in Port Jervis City Court and remanded to Orange County Jail without bail pending further court appearances.
The arrests are based on undercover investigations into the sales of illicit narcotic drugs in the City of Port Jervis and surrounding areas.
