A popular hummus manufacturer has issued a nationwide recall for concerns over Listeria contamination.

According to the Food and Drug administration the Sabra Dipping Company issued to voluntary recall for hummus products made prior to November 8, 2016 that may have been exposed to Listeria Monocytogenes.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious infections, miscarriages or stillbirths in pregnant woman and in some cases can even be fatal for young children, the elderly or those with weakened immune systems. Consumers with any product with a listed 'Best Before' dates through January 23, 2017 are urged to dispose of the product. Consumers can be reimbursed via www.sabrahummusrecall.com
