A Hudson Valley humane society is in need of supplies after rescuing a large number of animals.

According to the Middletown New York Humane Society's Facebook, they recently rescued nearly 50 dogs and puppies. The rescue happened over the past two weeks from high-kill shelters. Most of these dogs and puppies would have been euthanized.

The Middletown Humane Society desperately needs various basic items to care for these dogs. These pets are available for adoption. Items they need are:

    • Canned dog and puppy food
    • Purina One dry dog and puppy food
    • Treats
    • Laundry detergent
    • 33 gallon or larger trash bags
    • Bleach, Fabuloso, Odorban
    • Old Towels
    • Old Blankets
