Kingston - Mary E. Forgey of Florence Street died on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Health Alliance Hospital, Kingston, NY. She was 91. She was born on August 15, 1925, in Kingston, New York a daughter of Elizabeth Newsome and August Bodenweber. She was a proud graduate to the Academy of St. Ursula, Class of 1942 where she was taught by the Sisters of St. Ursula and developed many lifelong friendships. For over 30years, Mary worked for the New York Telephone Company as a switchboard and repair service operator. She retired in 1985. Mary was a lifelong and devoted parishioner of St. Mary's Church. On May 1,1950 she married James Forgey, who died in 2008. Surviving are her son, Richard and his wife Melisa of Sawkill and her daughter, Mary Ann and her husband Les Lombardi of Kingston. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Her brothers, William and Robert and her sisters, Jean and Rita died previously. Friends will be received at the Keyser Funeral Home, 326 Albany Avenue in Kingston, NY on Wednesday, from 4-7 PM. A funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:00 AM and process to St. Mary's Church for a 10:00 AM funeral mass. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston. In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to the Society of St. Ursula, 50 Linwood Road, Rhinebeck, NY. 12572.
