Marlborough Woman Impersonated Friend to Obtain and Sell Medication
State Police say a Marlborough woman impersonated an acquaintance to obtain and later sell prescription medication.
According to State Police, 42-year-old Shannon Weller learned that an acquaintance of hers had medication for a controlled substance waiting for pickup at a local pharmacy. Weller allegedly went to the pharmacy, said she was the intended recipient, and falsely signed for the unauthorized pickup of the medication.
Police say Weller intended to sell the medication at a later day. She was still unlawfully in possession of a quantity of the medications when she was arrested by State Police on Wednesday.
Weller was charged with 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, 3rd-degre forgery, 2nd-degree criminal impersonation, and petit larceny, misdemeanors.
Weller was arraigned in Marlborough Town Court and released on her own recognizance. She is due back in court on May 3.
