Marilyn (Osterhoudt) Felton, 86, of the Town of Ulster, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was born October 20, 1930 in Kingston, to the late John and Mildred (Wagner) Osterhoudt. Marilyn was married to her loving husband, George E. Felton. Marilyn and George wed on April 29, 1951, and recently celebrated their 66th anniversary.

Marilyn was a graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1948. She worked at Kingston Hospital for over 20 years before retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Plattekill Reformed Church in Mt. Marion, where she was a member of the Women's Guild and enjoyed decorating for their annual Mother and Daughter Banquets. She also belonged to the Red Hatters Club. She had the knack for decorating and arranging beautiful flower arrangements and was known amongst the Red Hatters as, "Artistic Lady". Marilyn enjoyed painting, making crafts, reading, and traveling, but above all spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Nancy Whitmore, George Felton, Jr., and his wife Michelle, and Todd Felton and his wife Kim, her sisters, Joan Coles, Beverly Scheffel, and Rhoda Schatzel, her grandchildren, Nicole Hesleitner and her husband John Hesleitner, Jr., Brad Whitmore and his husband, Gary Hulbert, as well as, Jessica, Ashley, Keith, and Kevin Felton. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Ashley Gutierrez and her husband David, and Colby Hesleitner, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston. A memorial service will be held at the Plattekill Reformed Church, 622 Kings Highway, Saugerties, NY on Tuesday June 6th at 11am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to, Plattekill Reformed Church, PO Box 33, Mt. Marion, NY 12456.
