Fire in Dutchess County Tragically Claims Life of Mother & Daughter
A Sunday night fire in Dutchess County, NY has tragically claimed the lives of a mother and her daughter.
According to the New York State Police, at approximately 10:30 p.m. troopers along with the East Clinton Fire Department were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to a reported house fire on Clinton Hollow Road in the town of Clinton.

As first responders arrived on the scene they found the 911 caller outside of the house who told them that there were still three other people inside the burning house including two children and their mother who were thought to be on the second floor.
At this point, first responders were unable to enter the inferno until firefighters from the Pleasant Valley Fire Department arrived on the scene to provide mutual aid in battling the heavy fire.
Three Victim's Inside
As firefighters fought their way into the house they discovered 35-year-old Shannon K. Hubbard, of Brewster, MA, along with her two children, a three-year-old boy, and one-year-old girl, and quickly got them out of the residence.

There were four victims in total and all of them were transported to local area hospitals to receive treatment including a 39-year-old male and a three-year-old boy who were transported to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Sadly Shannon K. Hubbard and her one-year-old daughter perished from the fire and were pronounced deceased at Vassar Hospital and Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital respectively according to the NYSP.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and as more information becomes available we will update this article.

As the tragic news of the life loss at the fire began to spread throughout the Hudson Valley numerous fire departments began sharing heartfelt messages on social media.
