The Hudson Valley is filled with talent.

If you're ever looking for live music, you don't have to look very far. Some play just as a hobby, but others set out to make it big.

That's what Sarah and Richie Owens set out to do. You may be familiar with Sarah as she was a part of the wildly popular country cover band, Hillbilly Parade and she performed with Keith Urban during the Raise 'em Up tour at Bethel Woods a few years back.

Sarah and Richie headed down to Nashville to start working on a country album and making a name for themselves in the industry. And that is exactly what they did.

Sarah, with Richie on drums, formed a band and got in to the studio. Their band name may sound familiar to us, but to the Nashvillians it's a complete mystery. They go by: Hudson Valley.

It was a big week for Hudson Valley last week as they just released their first EP called "Seven."

I finally has the chance to sit down and give it a listen and I could envision myself hearing this on country radio.

Sarah's vocals on songs like "Drink Me Gone" and "When The Right One Comes Along" give me serious Martina McBride vibes.

Personal favorites of mine are "Unmistakable Signs of a Bad Boyfriend," "Run Mascara Run" and "Can't Have Nothing Nice" which is their latest single.

You can check out the video for "Can't Have Nothing Nice" below and find Hudson Valley's EP on Apple Music and Spotify.
