No worries, you haven’t missed out on all the Halloween fun—there’s still one more event to look forward to, and it’s happening right in Newburgh on Halloween night!

The City of Newburgh is pulling out all the stops for its annual Trunk or Treat event, turning Broadway into a sweet and spooky paradise. From 6 PM to 8 PM on October 31st, families can enjoy a safe, candy-filled celebration right along Broadway between Liberty and Grand Street.

Here’s what makes this event even better: it’s on Halloween night *itself*. No early celebrations here—this one’s the real deal. It’s like something out of a movie, with candy and costumes taking over the streets, just as it should be. Plus, there’s a little extra magic when it all happens on the night it’s meant to.

Trunk or Treat isn’t your typical trick-or-treating experience. With decorated cars lining the street, each packed with candy and Halloween décor, kids can safely enjoy the festivities without worrying about traffic or door-to-door detours. Volunteers will be decked out in costumes, handing out sweets and smiles.

Think you’ve got the best ideas for trunk décor? The City of Newburgh Recreation Department is looking for local residents and businesses to join the fun. If you’re interested, just register ahead by calling 845-565-3230 or signing up online. The more trunks, the more treats!

Whether you’re ready to compete for the coolest trunk or just want to bring the kids for a memorable night, this event promises plenty of Halloween spirit, community, and candy. So, mark your calendars and get those costumes ready—Newburgh’s Trunk or Treat is the perfect way to celebrate Halloween.
