Freeze Warning Issued For Hudson Valley

In just about a week, the Hudson Valley went from summer to winter as a Freeze Warning was issued for the local area.

For the second straight morning, a Freeze Warning is in effect for the Hudson Valley. The National Weather Service issued the Freeze Warning for Dutchess and Ulster counties from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. Friday.

A Freeze Warning is in effect for Orange and Putnam counties from 3 a.m. until 9 a.m. Friday.

Temperatures are expected to be in the low 30s throughout the Hudson Valley from late Thursday night until early Friday morning, officials say. Some areas of the Hudson Valley could even see temperatures in the high 20s.

On Wednesday, a Freeze Warning was also issued for the Hudson Valley until around 9 a.m. Thursday. Some residents in the Hudson Valley even woke up to snow on Thursday.

A Freeze Warning means below freezing temperatures are imminent, or highly likely, according to the National Weather Service. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
