A Dutchess County man is facing a number of charges after he was allegedly caught driving in possession of an assortment of drugs and a weapon.

On Sunday, New York State Police from Dover Plains arrested 37 year old Gene Tuck, of the Town of Dover for fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and various traffic infractions.

The arrest is the result of a traffic stop on Tuck’s car on State Route 55 in the Town of Dover after he failed to stop at a stop sign, police say.

Authorities did not reveal which drugs Tuck was allegedly in possession of, or the weapon.

Tuck was arraigned in the Town of Dover Court and was released on his own recognizance. He’s due to reappear in the Town of Dover Court on a later date.
