Dutchess County Man Arrested After Stealing From Local Rite Aid, Police Say
A Dutchess County man who fled after allegedly stealing a number of items from a local Rite Aid was found and arrested.
On Sunday, East Fishkill Police responded to a report that a man had stolen several items and fled from the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Route 82 in Hopewell Junction.
A witness provided police with a description of the car and within several minutes the car was stopped by a Dutchess County Sheriff's Deputy on Route 55 in LaGrange.
The suspect was identified as a passenger in the car, 36-year-old Jeremy Mishk of Poughkeepsie.
Mishk was turned over to East Fishkill Police and approximately $400 worth of stolen property from Rite Aid was recovered, police say.
Mishk was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
He was arraigned in East Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $5,000 cash $10,000 bond pending his return to East Fishkill Court.
