The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department reports the arrest of Nicole M. Tomite following a burglary investigation.

On April 17, 2019, at 3:10 p.m. officers responded to an address on School Street for a report of a burglary that had occurred previously. A resident reported that she returned home and found that it had been entered and items were missing. During the course of the investigation Tomite, who was known to the victim, was identified as a suspect.

An arrest warrant was issued for Tomite who turned herself in on June 18. Tomite was charged with felony second-degree burglary. She was arraigned in the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond to return to court on June 21, 2019, at 9:00 a.m.
