A perfect day of golf was ruined for many Hudson Valley residents after the course was evacuated due to a bomb threat.

Thursday around 5:50 P.M., members of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, Town of Woodstock Police and New York State Police investigated a bomb threat at the Woodstock Golf Club on Mill Hill Road in Woodstock.

An employee called police after receiving a bomb threat phone call. Authorities quickly evacuated the buildings and golf course.

Members of the Woodstock, West Hurley and Centerville-Cedar Grove Fire Departments re-routed traffic away from the location.

An explosives detection K-9 Unit from the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department also responded to the scene.

After over 3 hours of searching, officials didn’t find any traces of a bomb. The area was cleared and the roads were reopened around 9 p.m.

Detectives from the Ulster County Sheriff's Office and Investigators from the New York State Police are still investigating the incident. Anyone with information is urged to call the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.
