WAPPINGERS FALLS - Victoria Rivera, a lifelong resident of the Chelsea Hamlet in Wappinger, died suddenly and tragically on Friday, May 26, 2017 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was 19.
She was born on December 10, 1997 in Peekskill. Victoria attended local schools and graduated from Beacon High School in 2016. She also attended Dutchess BOCES, where she completed the C.N.A. program. She was currently enrolled as a nursing student in Dutchess Community College.
Known affectionately to her family and friends as “Lovey”, Victoria will be remembered as a cheerful, outgoing person who became the light of the room. She loved music and cherished being in the presence of her friends. She was fascinated with pineapples and the message they offer - “Stand tall, wear a crown, and be sweet on the inside.” Her life summed this up perfectly.

She also leaves behind a host of loving friends, most especially her best friend, Chanel Sinclair.
