Update: Dutchess County High School Student Charged with Making Terroristic Threat
Police released more information, including the name, of the Dutchess County High School student who was arrested for allegedly making a terroristic threat at the high school he attends.
On Tuesday around 9:30 a.m., New York State Police from Poughkeepsie responded to the Millbrook High School, located on Church Street, to investigate a threat of school violence.
Following an investigation conducted by the State Police, a 17-year-old male high school student from was charged with making a terroristic threat, a class D felony.
State Police now say the 17-year-old charged was Kevin C. Bryant, of Clinton Corners.
Police say the student made a verbal threat of school violence. At this time, there is no known information indicating there ever was a credible threat to the school.
Bryant was arraigned in the Town of Washington Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail or $6,000 bond. He is due to return to the Washington Town Court on June 28.
