National Wine Day is Friday, May 25, 2018.

How lucky are we that we are surrounded by over 20 wineries in the Hudson Valley. We're no Napa Valley, Italy or Finger Lakes, we are the Hudson Valley and we are blessed with great wineries. These are my favorite wineries in the local area, which are perfect to celebrate National Wine Day At:

1. Whitecliff Winery, Gardiner

If you're a fan of red wines, definitely get the red trail red. It's a solid red blend table wine.

2. Benmarl Winery, Marlboro

They're known not only for their wine but for their grape stomping festival. When the fest isn't going on, they're a perfect place to go. I love the 2012 vintage Blanc De Blancs.

3. Robibero Winery

What a view! They have a huge outdoor fire pit and you can bring your own food, which is one of the biggest perks. Definitely get the 87 North white blend when you're there.

4. Weed's Orchard And Winery

Not only is this place an apple orchard, they are also a winery. I went to a chocolate and wine pairing here in February. They also make a mean pizza. Try out their rosé wine!

Happy National Wine Day!
