Stephen P. Coyle, of New Windsor, a retired technician for Xerox, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the age of 74.

The son of the late Matthew John and Mary Catherine (Gutta) Coyle, Stephen was born on April 28, 1943 in Beacon, New York.

Stephen honorably and proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1963-1972.  He married his beloved Annelie (Reinecke) Coyle on August 28, 1969 in St. Joachim Church, Beacon. Annelie survives at home along with his loving daughter, Vanessa.  Stephen was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 2, Mountainville, a parishioner of St. Joachim Church, an active member the Hudson Valley Poetry Community of which Stephen has several poems that will be included in the Karpeles Anthology. Stephen enjoyed making baseball bats, playing poker, writing poetry, playing board games, learning, researching, reading and music. He was a history buff whose depth and breadth of knowledge is astounding.

Stephen was a loving husband, father and friend who will be missed deeply.

In addition to his wife, Annelie, and his daughter, Vanessa; Stephen is survived by his brother, Joseph Coyle; his sister, Charlene Riach; several cousins, nieces and nephews, with a special mention of his nephew, Dennis Wagner, in Germany  with whom he shared a fatherly bond.  He also leaves behind his beloved pets.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 24 at St. Joachim Church 51 Leonard St, Beacon, NY 12508 at 10:00 am.  Military honors will follow at the conclusion of Mass.
