The public hearings will give residents a chance to weigh in and comment on the proposals.

Texas Roadhouse would be constructed at 2323 South Road, the Town of Poughkeepsie Planning Board agenda states. According to the company’s website, the eatery is a known for their legendary steaks while also serving ribs, made-from-scratch sides, and fresh rolls.

Popeyes is proposed at the former Nellie Kelly’s site located at 535 Haight Avenue. The Louisiana Kitchen is a fried chicken fast food chain. Popeyes was founded in 1972 in New Orleans, Louisiana and features spicy or mild fried chicken as well as chicken tenders, seafood, and sides

Spins Bowl Outdoor Recreation is planned for 47 Taft Avenue. Spins Bowl recently purchased the former Hoe Bowl location and spent $2 million on renovations of the bowling alley. The outdoor recreation center is expected to feature go-cart tracks, a ropes course and outdoor dining.
