Hudson Valley residents should get another chance this winter to snow tube down an 800 foot hill!

Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus and Commissioner Richard L. Rose of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation announced that the Orange County Snow Tubing and Winter Sports Park is scheduled to open on Saturday, January 7, conditions and weather permitting, at Thomas Bull Memorial Park on Route 416 in Montgomery.

The 800-foot snow tubing hill features two cable lifts, groomed lanes, and specially-designed tubes built for an exciting ride.

A 90 minute tubing session will cost Orange County residents $15. Non-residents will be charged $20. Proof of residency is required at check-in.

Tubers must be at least 42 inches.

The park has more to offer than tubing, like an ice skating rink, sledding hill, and cross-country ski trails. Visitors must provide their own equipment for these free activities which are available as conditions permit. Those interested in these activities should call ahead to see if they are open.

The opening date is subject to change based on conditions. Last year the park had to close down a times due to unseasonably warm weather.
