Police arrested a Hudson Valley contractor following two separate complaints he took money for a job he never performed.

State Police in Middletown charged 52-year-old Kenneth J. Dubner,of the Town of Wawayanda one two counts of grand larceny.

Police began an investigation after they received complaints from two separate homeowners, one in the Town of Wallkill, the other in the Town of Chester. The homeowners told authorities they paid Dubner to perform construction work on their homes, but after payment he didn’t work on their homes.

Dubner is accused of collecting $15,875.00 from the two homeowners for work that was never performed.

Dubner was arraigned in Town of Wallkill Court, and committed to Orange County Jail in lieu of bail. He’s due back in court on June 7.
