A former correction officer working in the Hudson Valley was arrested for having alleged relationships with two female prisoners.

State Police arrested 49-year-old Daniel Oliver, of Ballston Spa following a ten month long joint investigation conducted with the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations.

Police say the investigation revealed that Oliver, formerly employed as a Correction Officer at Taconic Correctional Facility in Bedford, had inappropriate relationships with two female inmates confined at the prison.

Oliver was charged with official misconduct, a class A misdemeanor. He was arraigned in the Town of Bedford Justice Court where he was released after posting $200 bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 27.

The State Police were assisted by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations.
