Part of New York’s Taconic State Parkway Closed in Hudson Valley

Damage caused by IDA forced officials to close a section of the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County
On Thursday around 11:15 a.m., New York State Police issued a traffic alert. Police confirmed all southbound lanes on the Taconic State Parkway between Exit 47 (State Route 55) and Exit 45 (Arthursburg Road) were closed near the Town of LaGrange.
The closure was for an emergency repair due to damage caused by flooding, officials say. The closure is expected for 24 hours, with the Taconic State Parkway expected to reopen after the Friday morning rush hour.
Traffic is detoured from the Taconic State Parkway to Route 55 in the Town of LaGrange.
Update: Around 7 a.m. on Friday New York State Police announced repairs got finished early and the lanes were reopened.
